How can one change the world? Through action! During the month of December, a forum on the climate action was held jointly by Youth Action, FAir 4 All (Fair Air Coalition), and the 10 by 2020 campaign. The discussion focused on the current steps being taken to reduce climate change. The forum began live from COP21, the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Held in Paris, France, this conference invited nations around the world to discuss steps they plan to take to reduce climate change. Claire Richer, Director of Citizens Voice at Citizens Climate Lobby s Pathway to Paris Program, spoke live from the event. According to Claire, these were â€Å" the biggest UN climate change talks in history†. She felt optimistic about some recent developments that came out of the conference. One major one being the decision that 2 degrees should be the global warming limit. It was also announced that millions would be provided to reach thei r climate goals. The developed world together even stating they will contribute $100 billion! And not only where major policy makers at the conference, but there was the presence of youth action with various countries having official Youth Representatives for the UN. Claire even informed the forum participants that the agreement proposed at the conference was available for viewing by the public to read and even comment on through the site Read and Note.
